Covergirl Lip perfection lipstick in Spellbound Review + swatch

Heyy guys today I am going to review my first lipstick from Covergirl.

This one is a part of Covergirl LipPerfection lipstick and I am gonna review the shade #325 - Spellbound.
It really has left me spellbound ;)

The packaging is sophisticated and sturdy. These rectangular tubes come in semi reflective , semi matte packaging.

The bottom of the tube shows the color so its very convenient to find the lipstick. Saves time you know.

Although I feel they should have mentioned the full name of this collection on the tube Covergirl lip perfection. Since I got it as a gift I had to search for the full name online.

Spellbound - 2 swipes
The pigmentation is excellent, lipstick goes super opaque in just one swipe. The staying power is remarkable  and even when it start fading which is after some 8-10 hours there is a stain left on lips.

Its a pain to remove this lipstick I need 3 sprays of my Lakme Absolute Bi phased makeup remover on my cotton pad to clean it completely.

If you just want a tint of this then apply it using a lip brush or just dab directly from the tube with a light hand  on your lips.

It has a right level of softness and glides on smoothly. I would describe the finish as satin-y and it gives a nice sheen.

The only con I find is that the smell of the lipstick is synthetic but it fades away in just a few seconds. You may not like it if you have a very sensitive nose and you need some extra effort to remove it completely.

Availability in India is a problem.

My lip swatch
I first applied using a lip brush and built up the intensity gradually for a even and precise application.
I dint use any lip liner underneath so that I can show how it looks on my bare lips.

Since its super pigmented I recommend you apply it with a lip brush first and then directly from the tube.

P.S : Its said to be a dupe for MAC Girl about town but since I have not used GAT I cant really say. Check out THIS link to see the swatches of MAC GAT & covergirl spellbound and decide by yourself ;)

Simple & easy Daisy flower manicure

Heyy guys :) I am back with another new manicure design. Its easy simple and super pretty..

This time I did it on my Mom and  No her fingers aren't so dark its just bad lighting and her tan from our vacation.

STEPS:

  1. First I painted all her nails with a base coat to protect her natural nails.
  2. Then I painted them with 2 coats of maroonish red.
  3. And using my nail art pen i did the flowers.
Please excuse the cuticles I was in a hurry so clicked the pictures before cleaning up. I always so impatient that I click pics as soon as I am done and I do the top coat and only then clean the edges so that the manicure doesn't get spoiled...  Ya I know I know I MUST change this habit.

Lots of Love.
Priyanka.

Random dotted nail art - For beginners

Heyy guys since I have been shifting to our new house I thought today I would do a simple nail art design for beginners. Hope you guys like it :)

This design doesn't require any tools.

Please ignore the polish on the sides of my pinky.

Just a base coat, any 2 opaque colors of your choice, black and white 2 in 1 nail paint with thin striping brush and a nib in 1 polish bottle (if you dont have these you can simple dip a tooth pick in your black and white polish and create dots using that) and a top coat to seal the design and to add a nice shine.

Easy peasy isn't it? (Oh every time I say easy peasy I have to say lemon squeezy idk y :P ^_^ LOL)

Lots of love.
Priyanka.

Currently testing : Passion indulge orange & grape seed oil

Heyyy guys :) Hope you all are doing great..

So on my testing table currently is face oils. Oils?? you must be thinking I keep saying I have oily skin and how can i slather more oil on my face, That will make it even more oily  right?? Nope my darlings thats not true.. We all need to moisturise and hydrate our skin and if chosen wisely oil can work wonders for all skin type. Its like iron cuts iron, oil eliminates oil.

Passion Indulge orange essential oil and grape seed carrier oil.

Ho do I use it? : I simply add 1 drop of orange essential oil to 4 drops of grape seed oil on my palm and gently massage it all over my face & neck except the eye area. After 10 mins I take off all the excess oil left on my face using a tissue by dabbing it against my skin.

So far my skin feel super soft and smooth and its giving me a nice subtle glow. After another 3 weeks I should be able to share my experience with this and to tell you if they work wonders for my skin or not :)

In my coming posts I will tell you about carrier oil and the benefits of grape seed oil.

Check out my post on Introduction to essential oils and All about sweet orange essential oil.

Do you use any oils in your beauty regime? Please let me know in the comments below.

Take care.
Lots of love,
Priyanka.
