The Color burst Nail art - Happy holi

Happy holi Angels, Hope you had a fun day.

For those of you who do not know what holi is, Its a fun festival of colors celebrated in India which marks the onset of Spring :) Friends and family play, chase & color each other <3

Here's my Nail art inspired by Holi :) Its fun, colorful & extremely quick & easy to do. I used a dotting tool to create the dots but you can also use tooth pick or a bobby pin to do this.

Not just for holi but you can rock these nails through out spring & summer. Remember to use bright & contrasting colors.

I hope you guys had a Eco friendly Holi :)

Let me know in the comments below if you want to see any nail art tutorial.

Lots of Love,
Priyanka Jain.

Mix & Match Animal Print Manicure

Hello Everyone :)

Yes I know I know its been ages since I did a Manicure Monday post.  So this time I have for you a  Super trendy design of the season Mix & Match. 2015 is all about mixing prints like you may have seen in this post HERE where I mixed prints for my outfit and matched my nails with it too.

You all know  I have a thing for Animal Print & my first blog post was also a Cheetah print nail art so I thought why not mix Zebra & Cheetah print and come up with some creative nail art.

So I decided to do 2 nails with full Zebra Stripes one full cheetah print & another side french cheetah on my cousin's nails. She is is crazy about animal print and insisted me to add a twist and do her nails. So I alternated the base color with a solid pastel pink & red. In my opinion pale pink is THE color of this summer as spotted on many celebrities & fashion shows.

Products used :
Maybelline Color show nail polish in Keep up the flame (A very pretty coral red)
Maybelline Color show nail polish in Constant candy (Pale pastel pink)
Base & top coat :  Maybelline Color show nail polish in Crystal clear

You can also check out my French manicure with a zebra twist HERE

I hope you like this design as much as I do. If you try it out please share with me on facebook & tag me. Also tag me on Instagram using the #atsl

In case you want to see a Step by Step tutorial of this design or any other design please comment below and let me know. I will be more than happy to do it for you.

Love,
Priyanka.

Flirty Heart tips Manicure

Hello Gorgeous  :) I am back with another Manicure Monday post after AGES and the design I did today is a Flirty heart French Manicure.

I know Valentines is over but hey its not a bad idea to wear hearts on nails when ever you want :) Also its still the Valentines month;)

I wanted to shape my nails differently this time with out loosing its length and Since my nails were really long and square shaped I decided to do STILETTO nail shape.

Stiletto is pointy nail tips. While I dint make mine super pointy I slightly made them blunt.

The polishes I used are Maybelline Color show in Crystal clear & Hooked on pink. Yes Maybelline again because I love them soo much <3

Isn't my phone case cute? I love it a lot. Now I am planning to turn fill in the Flirty heart tips with some polka dots.

Should I?

My nails would then go so well with my phone cover LOL :D :D

UPDATE : I could not resist doing polka dot on these heart tips so here is a finished look if you want to see how it looks.

I think its looks so much cuter this way.

Hope you guys like this Manicure design. Please comment below and let me know if you wanna see video tutorials of my nail designs and what post do you wanna read next?

Love,
Priyanka.

My first Gel Nail Polish

Heyy guys:) Hop you all are doing good..!!

Firstly I am so sorry for being MIA yet again. Let me give you an update on whats keeping me busy lately. I joined as an Assistant Bridal Makeup Artist in Chennai on 1st of July this year so I am kinda loving and enjoying doing that. And mid September I started going to my cousin's Nail spa in Chennai to get professionally trained in All kinds of polish application, art  ( Regular, Gel & Acrylic) and Extensions in Gel & Acrylic.

How do I manage both? Well  long story short, the bridal season was off till October so I was able to concentrate on Nails. The nails thing is just for a short period ( My cousin is carrying so When she is away for delivery and post delivery she wants me to look after her Spa & be a nail artist there for 2-3 months).

Yaayyy :) So cool right? I know I am finally going after what I love. If I haven't told you already I wanna become an Entrepreneur and I wanna have my own Fashion line, be a Makeup Artist & a Nailist. I am not sure how I will manage all three but I am working out plans for it so lets see what best I am able to do. Also this is gonna take some long time to do. Fingers crossed. (Need all your best wishes)

What will happen to the blog? I may not be very regular (But I promise I will do every bit possible to be quite active) Let me thank you all lovely readers for your love & support shown on my blog.

Ok now enough talking about me lets get to the point. So since I am going to the nail spa I got my first gel nail polish done.

Basic solid color starts from INR 800 and goes on depending on art & jewels, stones, studs that you get done.

I had them on for about 20 days with absolutely no chipping.

I got a pretty emerald green done with 2 two simple nails on each ring finger.

My first gel nails :)

Now you may ask if the stones stayed on for 20 day too. Answer is Of course yes and I did all sorts of work like kneading the dough, Diwali work ( well maid did most of it but I helped her too). So ya you get an idea of what all this can go through right?

My lovely readers the finish is just AH- MAZING that once you get this done all your expensive regular polishes & top coats will seem blahh. Trust me girls its so smooth and glossy (With being plastic-y glossy if you know what I mean).

For all you brides to be, honeymooners, college girls, or just about any girls ( we are girls isn't that alone enough to spulrge and indulge in a  Pro Nail spa/ art session :P ) should definetely try out.

I hope you guys will always stick around.

P.s : Let me know if you need pro tips on regular polish application or details on gel polish etc or anything else.

Lots of love,
Priyanka.

Simple & easy Daisy flower manicure

Heyy guys :) I am back with another new manicure design. Its easy simple and super pretty..

This time I did it on my Mom and  No her fingers aren't so dark its just bad lighting and her tan from our vacation.

STEPS:

  1. First I painted all her nails with a base coat to protect her natural nails.
  2. Then I painted them with 2 coats of maroonish red.
  3. And using my nail art pen i did the flowers.
Please excuse the cuticles I was in a hurry so clicked the pictures before cleaning up. I always so impatient that I click pics as soon as I am done and I do the top coat and only then clean the edges so that the manicure doesn't get spoiled...  Ya I know I know I MUST change this habit.

Lots of Love.
Priyanka.

Random dotted nail art - For beginners

Heyy guys since I have been shifting to our new house I thought today I would do a simple nail art design for beginners. Hope you guys like it :)

This design doesn't require any tools.

Please ignore the polish on the sides of my pinky.

Just a base coat, any 2 opaque colors of your choice, black and white 2 in 1 nail paint with thin striping brush and a nib in 1 polish bottle (if you dont have these you can simple dip a tooth pick in your black and white polish and create dots using that) and a top coat to seal the design and to add a nice shine.

Easy peasy isn't it? (Oh every time I say easy peasy I have to say lemon squeezy idk y :P ^_^ LOL)

Lots of love.
Priyanka.

If you take a closer look at the right bottom of my ring finger i have painted a little bird with a long & sharp beak.

The first picture is the closest of actual colors as i clicked that pic in natural light and the second pic was clicked in my car.

Its super simple and easy if you would like to see the tutorial please let me know in the comments below I would love to show you guys each step.

Floral nail art design with an accent

Heyyyy guys :) I am back with another Manicure Monday post :)

I did this Manicure design for my farewell party that my juniors threw last month. I wore a navy blue lace dress with neon pink accessories and footwear.

So to match the entire look of my dress I did an accent nail on my ring finger and used the pink as a base and navy blue for the flowers. and to give it a nice party touch I did a coat of purple glitter polish.

Products used :

  1. For the navy blue I used Maybelline colorama - Marinho
  2. For the hot pink I used Maybelline Color show - Feisty Fuchsia
  3. For the purple glitter I used a nail paint which is a local street find from Chennai
  4. For the top & base coat I used Maybelline Color Show -  Crystal clear

I hope you enjoyed this manicure design :) Do let me know your views on this manicure in the comments below :)

Soft Pink eye makeup and berry glitter nails

Heyyy guys sorry for  MIA (Missing In Action) for past 2-3 days. I have been super occupied with my Final internship report submission and VIVA for MBA. Am so glad it ended well :)

This is a quick post in which I have shared the eye makeup that I did for Diwali last year.

EYE MAKEUP

  1. First I primed my eye lids with Kryolan eye makeup base.
  2. Then I used a very pale pink eye shadow in patting motion for one third of my lids.
  3. And then for the crease and outer V I used a very soft berry pink eye shadow and just followed my natural crease and ">" (V).
  4. I then lined my upper lash line with a gel eye liner (Its my favorite) & used a Kohl on my water line and lower lash line and also for tightlining.
  5. Follwed by Curling my lashes and adding lots of mascara.

NAILS
  1. Apply a basecoat to protect your natural nails.
  2. Paint all of your nails with any opaque color of your choice.
  3. Let it dry for 3 mins.
  4. Paint just the tips of your nails with a nice golden glitter polish to give that quick and easy festive touch.
  5. Finish off with a top coat to protect your design from any chipping and to give that Oh so glossy look.

Voila!! Your done.

Finally I have finished my MBA :) But no more college life uufff :( :( what a mixed feeling!!! No more deadlines and assignments and presentation yayyyy :) :)  :( but I will definitely miss the rush, friends, transformation that college life gave me. Ohhh i will miss bunking, passing comments, laughing suddenly in class looking at a friend and no body else knows the reason, random gossip, cribbing for having to go to college and sitting for a whole day :D :D group studies, stay overs bla bla bla.

Did you like the eye makeup and nails? Do let me know in the comments below.
Do you miss college life? I already am!! And if you are in college then please make the most of it :) <3

Muahhh. Have fun..
Loads of love.

Manicure Tip : How to prevent cuticles from getting painted?

Heyy prettyyy :)

For today's Manicure Monday post I have a trick which will help you apply your nail paint in a neater and more polished manner.

Okay so how many times where you in a hurry and did your nails last minute? A LOT of times right?
That happens to me as well..

Of course you can clean up the cuticles after your done with the manicure but I personally feel so lazy to do that and more often than not i end up removing the nail polish from the sides as well. Pheewww requires too much patience.

Here is a trick you can follow each time you do a manicure which will not only ensure you don't paint your cuticles while painting your nails but it will also nourish your cuticles at the same time, giving your nails a professional touch.

SUPPLIES :

  1. Olive oil
  2. Q - tip (or) Flat brush

METHOD :

  1. Remove your nail polish using a nail polish remover to make them squeaky clean.
  2. Dip your Q- tip (Ear bud) in olive oil as its rich in Vitamin E and nourishes the skin and nails.
  3. Now apply it along the sides of your nails ie., on your cuticles so that they are coated thinly with oil
  4. Repeat this for all fingers and then start applying your nail polish or your favorite manicure design.

Voila!!! Now you have a super professional finish for your little piece of art :)

Lots of love,
Priyanka.

COLORFUL NAIL ART

Heyy guys its time for Manicure Monday again. I love doing manicure posts, hope you enjoy them as much as i enjoy creating them.

This is a very fun nail art design, you just have to play around with your favorite colors and enjoy :) I am really loving this design and the best part you don't need to be perfect or professional with this one. Just go ahead and mix the colors of your choice to get a fun design.

Its super simple and easy to do take just about 5 mins for both the hands and dries up quickly as well so you don't have to wait either :)

I clicked this picture 5 days after I wore this design so you can see a slight chipping. Please do let me know if you want a tutorial for this or any other manicure design.

I am so dedicated to manicure posts may be because I have named it Manicure Monday. I guess I should name reviews and makeup looks and tips the same way so it keeps me rooted :P. May be something like Tip & Trick Thursday, Fashion Friday (this reminds me i hav not done any outfit post in ages), Spotlight Saturday for any New launch, offers etc, or Makeup Monday one week and Manicure Monday the other. I don't know, may be something like that. Just a thought.

What do you guys say? Do let me know in the comments below.

Hope you guys like this design. If you do then please let me know in the comments below and follow my blog and like my Facebook page HERE

Lots of love.

Maybelline Colorshow Nail polish in Orange fix

Heyy guys today's post is on the much raved Maybelline colorshow Nail Polishes.  I have 3 shades in this range check my haul post here. These little bottles look soo cute.. Well they dont just look good but also deliver their true purpose. Its one of the best polishes i have tried so far specially for the price you pay, its totally worth it I say..

I got these during the October month offer i guess when they were giving free nail polish brush on purchase of 2 color show polishes. (free stuff is always good ;) Right girls?I am yet to use the brush yet though.

Excellent formula. (clams to be gel based) and gives a very glossy finish. Even without a top coat you are good to go. Check out the above pic.

The color as you can see is a very pretty peachish corally orange which goes opaque in two coats. I love this color soo much. It instantly lifts up my mood. I cant stop staring at it LOL

Drys up quickly on nails and doesn't chip for 3 days on me and with a top coat it stays on for even longer.
Sorry about the slight chipping in last 2 pics. it dint chip i actually erased it unknowingly while wearing my gladiators as i was rushing for Sunday brunch with my girliees :) I got soo many compliments for this shade
(brownie points earned) which i wore with sheer super pretty peter pan top in emerald green.

PRICE: 75 for 6ml.

GOOD :

1. Lovely shade
2. Glossy finish
3. Excellent formula. (goes opaque in 2 coats)
4. Very economical. Value for money
5. 40 shades to choose from
6. Quick drying formula.
7. No chipping for about 3 days. and after that very slight.

BAD:

None for me.

Next I wanna buy Crazy berry, Constant candy, Hooked on pink or fiesta fuschia I'm so confused between the 2. Any suggestions girls??

Ratings : 5/5 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Which shade do you love the most? Do lemme know in the comments below.

VINTAGE FLORAL NAIL ART

Hello :)

Today I am here with a very pretty manicure design and a simple DIY tutorial.

You will need:

1. Any 2 colors of your favorite nail polishes i am using yellow and red today
2. White & green nail polish
3. Few toothpick
4. Base coat
5. Fast drying top coat

Lets begin this super simple and pretty nail art design

STEP 1:

1.Paint your nails with a base coat of your choice to protect your natural nails.
2. Then start off by painting your entire nails with a solid opaque nail polish. I have used yellow here.
3. Then just place one or two blobs of a darker polish, I have used red here. you don't have to be even just       place it randomly.

STEP 1,2 & 3

STEP 4: Take a toothpick and dip it in your opaque white  nail polish and lightly swirl it on your little circles of red starting from out and moving your way in. ( just like writting a 'C' with a lowerend a little curled inwards)

STEP 4

STEP 5: Repeat the same like 2 C's in a circles and then just draw a little V with your green nail polish.

Wait for at least half an hour to let the design dry and then seal your manicure and protect it from chipping  applying a base coat. It also ads a lovely shine to your nails.

Voila there you go a very pretty and feminine manicure design. Looks so intricate but is super easy and simple to do.

Hope you like this tutorial. Do let me know your views in the comments below. You can send me your recreations. on my facebook page Here.

Lots of love,
Priyanka.

NEON NAIL ART

Hey beautiful :) today i'm gonna share with you a very bright and vibrant nail art for which i have used the fast moving neon colors with a hint of black. A super cool way to color block ;)

Its super simple and easy to do and you dont need to be a pro to do this. The only tool i used is a tooth pick.

I used black to balance out the 3 neon color that i used in this manicure and to differentiate between each color.

Please ignore the polish on my cuticles,  forgot to remove it before clicking.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post. If you did please like my facebook page for quick tips and updates on my recent posts and follow me on blogger to get post alerts.

Thank you so much for stopping by.
